He has been recognized as a major player in New York’s psychological services industry for most of his career, which has covered nearly 30 years now.
Dr. Michael Civin, Ph.D. has not only practiced psychology, but he has also served as a professor or other faculty member at a number of universities and other institutes of higher learning. His research and writing has been published in many journals and he has written chapters in a number of books. Education is a major part of Michael A. Civin, Ph.D.’s life, given that he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Harvard in 1968 and went to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine for two years after that. He earned his first Master of Arts degree from the University of Oregon in 1970 and his second, in Clinical Psychology, from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University in 1986, before earning a Ph.D. from Adelphi and a medical degree from the Pennsylvania Institute of Straight Chiropractic in 1988.
